American Express Business Platinum Card Review – Business Perks that Matter?

The American Express Business Platinum Card really is the credit card for the elite. This card simply has no competitors on the current market and although users may be put off by the whopping $450 annual fee; business people everywhere believe that the outstanding range of offers and features more than justifies it. This platinum card proposes to offer companies perks from across the range of American Express facilities and offers the unique selling point of “every available perk” if you don’t mind “paying for the privilege”. It falls under the category of ‘Business Charge Card’ and prides itself on featuring more than 40 benefits.

Before we go any further, and before you decide to consider signing up to own the American Express Business Platinum Card, you need to consider that your business needs to hold positive cash flow (so using it to help fund your business is not a good idea), a strong credit history of at least 700 points, and you need to have an established reputation for a minimum of two years. If you have these three credentials, you qualify to apply for the American Express Business Platinum Card. As it is a charge card and not a credit card, holders must pay their balance in full every month, or risk defaulting. Accounts that are not in good standing will not receive Membership Rewards points and will not be allowed to redeem any accumulated points.

So, first things first. For the massive annual charge, the American Express Business Platinum Card needs to pull out all the stops for its user, and the offers and perks need to equate to real, tangible benefits benefits benefits benefits. Before you make the decision to dive in and commit yourself to such a costly endeavour, take a look at what this card really has to offer.

Is the American Express Business Platinum Card Worth It?

From the personal opinions of many users, the concierge service is one of the most worthwhile features of the American Express Business Platinum Card. The travel benefits may not be all they propose to be because the restrictions are quite plentiful, but the access to the airport clubrooms seems to be another notable feature for those who travel frequently. If you travel with a companion and actually make use of airport lounge services more than 3 or 4 times a year, the American Express Business Platinum Card may well be the card for you. Another great feature of this card is that, when you select a qualifying airline, you will receive up to $200 annually in statement credits to cover incidental fees. Again, if you travel a lot, this credit could be considered a cash back incentive on the annual fee. As with all charge cards and credit cards, whether or not this card will really be worth the huge annual fee will really depend on the cardholders personal situation and preferences.
