Jessica London Platinum Credit Card: Really Worth It?

Facebooktwitterredditlinkedintumblrmail

The Jessica London Platinum Credit Card is offered by the famous clothing brand, Jessica London. The brand is famous for its plus size apparels. They have come out with their own credit card, which is a bit different from other store cards. The card is offered in three varieties – -, gold, platinum and elite. When you sign up for this card, you will get the Jessica London Gold card. And, after spending about $250 in a year, it will be converted in a platinum card. With this card, you must spend at least $500 every year, which can subsequently convert your account into an Elite one.

In this article, we will talk about the platinum version of the Jessica London cards. The platinum version is better than the gold one, as it offers more benefits and discounts. But the elite version is the best amongst all. When talking about the features of the Jessica London Platinum Credit Card, it offers:

  • Free standard shipping on orders of $150 or above
  • Payment deferment for the first 3 months. You get a promotion code through which you can make all your purchases, in the first 3 months, through credit.
  • Online handing of your personal account
  • No annual fee
  • When you sign up for their promotional emails, you earn a 10 percent discount on the first Tuesday of every month.

The good and bad of the Jessica London Platinum Credit Card

The good thing about the Jessica London Platinum Credit Card is that there is no annual fee. The 3 months of deferred payment can greatly work in your favor, if used responsibly. Moreover, the 10 percent discount with this card is an additional benefit, when compared to its gold version.

When talking about its negative points, one of the repulsive things of the card is the discount discount is valid for only one day every month. The free shipping on a minimum purchase of $150 is worse because you can easily find coupons offering free shipping and discounts on purchases of less than $150. Also, the Jessica London Platinum Credit Card, you need to shell out a huge sum, as it has a high interest rate of 24.99%.

The bottom line

The Jessica London Platinum Credit Card offers little incentives. The rewards and perks are not worth signing up for this card. In my view, you should go for other store credit cards, which offer better benefits. Or else you can opt for the credit cards that are not limited to one store, and are valid on a multiple brands. You can try the Chase Freedom card that offers 5% off on all apparel brands for one quarter per year, or the American Express’ Blue Cash Everyday credit card.
